Februrary 2008 Thanks to a generous, private grant, Eddie has been commissioned to compose a jazz concerto for recorder and drums.
Free Class: Instruments and Ensemble
Februrary 2007 Eddie started an after-school class (free, beginners, meeting twice a week) for high school students at the Out of Site Center for Arts Education.

May 2006 Interview by Frances Feldon. The author performs chamber music with Flauti Diversi, an ensemble specializing in Baroque/contemporary works, and Danza!, a Renaissance mixed consort. She teaches recorder and Baroque flute privately at her studio in Berkeley, CA, and is a regular conductor and faculty member at recorder workshops throughout North America. Check out the interview!

CMA Makes Holy Mischief
Chamber Music America (CMA) with generous support from the Doris Duke Foundation awarded Eddie Marshall and his Holy Mischief Ensemble its "New Works: Creation and Performance" grant, commissioning him to compose an original piece. Dreams That Dance- A Suite premiered at the San Francisco Jazz Festival in 2004. In 2006 CMA awarded him a "New Works: Encore" grant, allowing him to widen the audience for this commissioned work with additional performances at Albuquerque's Outpost Performance Space and at the Litchfield Jazz Festival in Connecticut.
Dreams That Dance - A Suite
November 2004 For this year's San Francisco Jazz Festival, Eddie performed an original work called "Dreams That Dance - A Suite". This composition was funded by the "New Works: Creation and Presentation" grant from Chamber Music America. The grant itself is funded by the Doris Duke Foundation.
